I have many many books on similar topics and recieved this one as a gift for Christmas this past year and after cracking it open, I REFUSED to put it down! The text is lovely and draws you into the moments in each party or luncheon featured, but more than that, I found the photographs and the ideas for each party were divine. I have already begun planning my next few parties and plan to do a version of her family tree dinner from her parents anniversary dinner. This book is beautifully written and even just beautiful to allow your mind to wander through the pages. A MUST HAVE!

Bought this lamp over a year ago, and although it serves it's purpose well, I would not buy this lamp again.



First, the lamp switch constantly jams, such that it takes me forever to turn the lamp on/off. It seems that switch thread was a cheap piece with no threads, so the switch just turns around and around.



Also, the lamp head cannot stand up on its own-- the bolts to tighten it do not go far enough to keep it in place, so the head just droops. I at one point super-glued the hinge to keep it in place, but it's pretty ridiculous.



If you are in the market for a piano lamp, look elsewhere before coming back to this one. It is simply not worth the price.

If you want a nice little desk lamp that puts out decent light for reading or writing but not illuminating the whole room then this is for you. Sturdy base and construction. Design makes it nice to hang jewelry from. Only complaint is that the on/off is on the cord. It'd be nicer if it was on the lamp area somehow but its not too annoying.

I don't care for overhead fluorescent lights, as are found in most office buildings (including mine). So, I decided to get a table lamp to supplement my desk lamp. I really wanted one eligible for Amazon Prime.



This lamp is surprisingly sturdy, with a good weight to it. Though it says polyresin, it actually looks and feels like wood. Amazon's product picture is pretty accurate to how the lamp looks, and the color of the base. I have a beautiful cherry wood furniture in my office, and this lamp coordinates perfectly. The cream shade allows a good amount of light to come through as well. It looks so nice, in fact, that one of my coworkers ordered one for herself after seeing it!



Overall, this lamp is well worth the price and the convenience of having it delivered direct to my office. Highly recommended.

These lamps looked good on a webb page but are kind of cheap-o looking up close. Once setup they are OK but if paid close attention to they look like shaped pipe than a bronze lamp.

Unpacking is a real chore as some 3rd world person really went ape with the tape.

The wire has to be pulled through and it's really tough to do without tearing or making bare places in the insulation.

I purchased this lamp as a Christmas gift for my husband. He is very happy with it as am I. I do have one constructive (I hope) criticism and that is the size of the shade. When I sit with him at his desk, the light bulbs are quite visable beneath the lower rim of the shade and thus shine in my line of sight . . . a bit annoying. It doesn't seem to

bother him as he is considerably taller than I. I believe if the shade

The book is in the timeline where Sarah has left, Brown is dead and Grissom is still in charge although he's away at a conference during the entire book.

From the title and the synopsis, I was expecting Brass to have a big part in the book. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. While he's mentioned throughout, he doesn't really make an appearance until the very end.



Catherine has a huge part in the book and the author did a good job with her. Actually with the exception of Brass and Grissom, everybody had about equal parts in the book.

If I had one bad thing to say, it would be there were too many cases. It was a bit hard to follow the facts of everything especially when Catherine seemed to have her hands in all of them. I don't know if that was done intentionally. It's possible it was intentional because the author put Catherine in charge and several times reference was made to the fact that she had no idea how Grissom ever got anything done because of all the responsiblities. So, I'll give the author the benefit of the doubt on that one.



As for the multiple cases going on... There were 4 cases I think. #1. Murder in a hotel room and a missing female victim/suspect. #2 Murder on a plane. #3 Missing girl. #4 Mass animal grave that may be the work of a budding serial killer. I think that was all of them. Like I said, it got a bit complicated.



Overall, it was a good book. Not great but good. I would buy another CSI book from this author but in all honesty, I would buy another CSI book from any author. I'm glad they're still writing them.

The quality of this product left much to be desired. Not only is it made of low grade plastic, the shades are nearly translucent and don't provide adequate lighting conditions. Beware, using some standard bulbs will cause the shades to melt. The product looks cheap, is cheap, and thus extremely overpriced. Not recommended to anyone that cares about their billiard room, or their wallet.
