OK, so the other reviewer says they are ugly. I think they are unusual. They actually go really well in my rustic guest room. They are so ugly that they're cool. They are high quality, the shades are great - not boring white. The base metal is brass tone, but it's not polished brass, it's a darker, burnished or aged look. I like them. The other reviewer also states that these are Hunter, which is incorrect. They are Kenroy Home. A great brand, in my opinion. Good quality, heavy, affordble and unique lamps.

This lamp is huge and ugly! I will never buy a Hunter lamp again (see my review on Hunter floor lamp). It is poor quality, difficult to assemble, and so big it seemed to take over the bedroom! Also, shade is not true color.
