The lamps arrived safely, well packed and easy to set up. I needed better light for my reading and crosswords, my wife needed better light for her sewing and knitting. We had been using table lamps, but they could be not focused on our work. These lamps are PERFECT for us. The table lamps are gone-these new lamps even make our room seem larger.

We purchased 3 of these lamps. Good heavy base so it doesn't tip over. Good directional shade. Light bulbs that are supplied shed a bright but unattractive bluish-white light. One lamp was missing an essential small part (knob to turn it on) and so the entire thing had to be re-packaged and returned. Replacement was fine.

This is a pretty and solidly built lamp. I don't know why I assumed the arm would bend down; it doesn't, the lamp only adjusts up and down in height, though you can turn the head a little.
It makes a nice, almost sunlight-like light and is a great lamp to put in the corner of an office. It will also be very welcome to sit under when working with small beads or other crafts.
